One volume, 171 pages.http://sakurafile.com/rdhhc0anngug/Yurikagi_senpaihimitsu_nozoite.zip
Yet another one pulled out of the archives. It's been translated before, but I wasn't crazy about it. Content warning: crappy raws, hit or miss comedy, bunny brings the love.
Newbie here, I'd like to tackle typesetting this. Our we really not allowed to enlarge images?
>>25856The issue with upscaling is that it usually leaves the image a bit blurry while also damaging screentones and the like. I'd recommend just running the files through waifu2x while keeping them the same size. It's not ideal to work with raws this small, but I think it's the best choice.
>>25857oh, I've always been 2x-ing my images through waifu2x... I just found it easier to typeset on larger images (like not needing to use decimals). I do size it back down to 2000px when exporting the image

>>25862As long as it looks okay after being upscaled, I don't mind. So Beaver, if it will make your work easier, by all means go for it. I'd say just pay close attention to the screentones to make sure they're not messed up too badly. I've heard good things about upscaling with ESRGAN as well, but I don't have the hardware to try it myself.
>>25863Aye, I've heard the same about ESRGAN, but so far Waifu2x already does amazing upscaling and denoising with manga. I've used it for all my other works, and havn't really noticed screentones issues, but I'll do some testing.

>>25871Here's QC for chapter 1! This is quite a long one, and I apologize for that. Hope you don't feel too overwhelmed. If you have any questions or concerns with what I've suggested here, feel free to ask and I'll try my best to help you with whatever you need.Beyond that, I would recommend flipping through some guides, particularly ones pertaining to cleaning and redrawing. The best ones I've seen are Redhawk Scans' TS and RD tutorials, as they cover beginner and advanced problems. You can find links to both here:https://dynasty-scans.com/forum/topics/19511-dynasty-scans-s-editor-s-guide-discussion Also, here is a link to a very thorough list of scanlation resources:https://quicksandscans.wordpress.com/resources/Lastly, if you have discord, I'd recommend joining the Scanlation School discord and the Font Recommendations discord.

>>25880A bit overwhelmed, but much appreciated. I'll get those implemented. Thank you, and for the resources as well! I do have a question though, a couple things you pointed out was me trying to stay similar to the raw. Like the line above "Half a year later". Is that not okay?

>>25881The vertical line leading into text is something that just doesn't really work in English. I think the best call is just to remove it.
