>>23245The sfx in this one look kinda tricky, so I'd like to try my hand at it if any translators are interested!
A three year old project. What's become of me? Content warning: Idiot couple, unless bondage gear, prescription kiss.
>>25917The translation is much appreciated! Here's the chapter!https://mega.nz/folder/8ewzxKDT#XqeDDNd6efex9Gt3HKPmkAThe SFX were really challenging and fun to work on, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Unfortunately, the redrawing was even harder, and far less fun.

Released.
>>26047Nice work! Can you provide the PSDs, if possible? I’m just curious on the fonts and how you styled some of the SFX. Really impressive work (like always).

>>26063Sure thing! I really appreciate the kind words. Let me know if you have any questions about anything, I'd be happy to help!https://mega.nz/folder/wfJTgRJY#jQsR_PIA7jnlYHUMN5Xs6A
>>26064Very nice, thanks! I don't have Photoshop, I use Affinity Photo. So the SFX doesn't quite translate the same. It looks the same as in release but I can't see how it's styled nor see the fonts. Each letter ends up being its own pixel layer :/ It's not a big deal. I have an idea of how you did some of it.At least, I was able to see the fonts of the dialogues, most of which I did not have. It was quite the journey to try to find the free versions of most of the fonts so that they show up properly in Affinity. Though, in Photopea, the fonts show up properly even if I don't have them installed. So that was pretty neat.I am super curious how you did the "roar" on page 485. Like how did you do the vertical line bit?

>>26066Ah, yeah! Having a different editing program will definitely make our processes a lot different, unfortunately. The sound effects are pixel layers as they're all handwritten with a drawing tablet. Some of effects on the letters, like the splatter effect on the "groooowl", or the white/black mix effect on the "slash", are done with photoshop tools. The former being mezzotint coarse dots applied to the layer then erasing some, while the latter I just stole from the original, cleaned it up a bit, and put a pattern overlay. Regarding the fonts--I would recommend joining the "Scanlation School" and the "Font Recommendations" discords. They have copies of pretty much any comic book font you could want. Let me know if you need links. The lines on the roar were also just hand drawn. There may be a more intuitive way to do it, but I just went through and did each line separately. If that's not an option, it may be more effective to steal parts of the original to place atop your SFX. That effect has always been pretty tricky to recreate.

Yeah, I'd appreciate the links!
Yup, amazing sfx on this one. Well made and stay true to the JP version. Man, the perks of handwriting.
