Anyone wants to translate this?

I can clean, maybe typeset too.

This looks cute. I'll translate it.

File: Satou-san wa Hidarigawa translation.txt -(24339 B, 0x0) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.

Here's the TL. This was just as cute as I thought it would be.

The title kind of threw me a bit. I spent way too long looking up possible slang meanings for ひだりがわ, or figurative meanings for "left", and in the end I had to just give up. It's not just the title, it's the first line in the manga. I had to conclude that it's just Wakamoto noting Satou's current location. If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know!

I agree there doesn't seem to be any figurative meaning for this. She is on the left side of the long joint desk from our perspective, but that has no bearing on the story. The font for that line is also different from Wakamoto's narration text, or any text in the story as far as I can tell, so it may not be a line at all.
Liked the "HR" line.

Thanks for the corrections. You're right about the font on that line, I didn't notice that. Perhaps it's just a repeat of the title after all. When I looked at that picture of their workspace, I saw that Satou-san is to Wakamoto's right and got confused. But you're right, since she's across from her, she's on the far left of her block of desks. And apparently Wakamoto spends all her time at work staring at her (she's looking in the direction of her seat in the very image), so I guess it makes sense that she'd be very concerned with Satou's location.

For the "lovestruck" line, yes, I did just forget the "I".

For the mysophobia line, I guess we could just replace all uses of "mysophobia" with "germophobia". I used that before when Wakamoto's coworker was telling her about it, but I don't know if that would be rude to say to someone's face. To be honest, I had never heard the word mysophobia before I looked up 潔癖症, so I admit it's likely not in common use, and we probably shouldn't use it in the manga.

So far so good. I read it and haven't found any other mistakes, but I'll be on the lookout. I'm doing the typesetting now, and I noticed this SFX hasn't been translated. She's either clenching her first, hence 'clench', or most likely hitting the table, hence maybe 'thud'?

スッ is basically just the sound of moving. So I'd go with "turn" or something like that.

Thanks. I was also wondering what this bit in p9 meant:
Do you live around here, Satou-san?
Perfect.

Why does she ask that? Does she get no answer? And why does she say perfect? Not saying the translation is wrong, I just can't seem to make sense of it haha.

She wants to find a place to buy an umbrella. Since she ran into Satou here after work, she assumes this is on Satou's route home and that she'll know of any shops nearby.

>> No.24680

If you think it's confusing, maybe change those lines like so:

>Oh!
>Is this street on your route home?
>Perfect timing.
>Is there somewhere I can buy an umbrella around here?
>> No.24681

>>24680
Ah, I got it. For some reason I thought Satou was saying that (even though it said 'Satou-san' at the end :/). I'll leave it as is.

Thanks, nice work! I've got a few suggestions, mostly just lines I realized could be a little better, but also a couple editing notes.

Page 11

>I ended up just accepting her kindness.

to

>I ended up just accepting her invitation.

Page 16

Could you remove the inverted exclamation mark from the front of "Ta dah!"? It's just a little confusing, looks kinda like "ita".

Page 22

The patterned bubbles in the right side have gradient lines in them, like you can see where erased the text. Is there a way to smooth the shading there?

>And it seems like there's a guy she reated to like he was filthy.

to

>And there's also that guy she reacted to like he was filthy.

Page 26

>I thought, "so there is a god!"

to

>My prayers were answered!
>But my "sudden hospitality plan" had it's limits after all...

to

>But my "sudden hospitality plan" had some flaws...
>> No.24852

All fixed! I couldn't get the gradient better than that, it's difficult to focus on the squares and it has like three different gradients in three different directions so it's hard to get it right, hope it looks okay.

Okay, looks good. This just needs a credits page then.
