Bumping, would like to put in my name as editor if it gets a translator. /u/ did the first chapter after the one-shot, though that one still needs some QC'ing and is missing a page, and there doesn't seem to be anyone with the intention of working on the second.
I've contacted the translator of Puberty Organism Vega original one-shot and chapter 1. He will work on the translation over the weekend. He also said:>Chapter one kind of fizzled out after I got no response from the editor; I intended to redo the typesetting but never got a response from the editor after requesting the PSDs.So it looks like a re-editing is in order, or at least fixing what is needed. The translator is busy and can't edit it, however. What do you think, TN?

>>4203If I recall it right, only two pages needed to be reedited, one which was missing translation and next one which put too much text from previous page into the text bubbles.I edited them myself some time ago when thread was alive but I didn't know original fonts used to match it correctly.

>>4204And that's all needed correction from ch1 if I'm right.
I'll let the translator and TN decide what they want to do with chapter 1. Speaking of fonts, this is the list for the series (from the translator):http://www.mediafire.com/?0gy0o44cvl9or8b>Chronicles of a Hero (narration/square blocks)>Blambot Casual (dialogue, normal)>Blambot Pro (dialogue, loud)>Irezumi (dialogue, floating)>augie (thought bubbles)>Optima LT Std Medium (series name "Vega")>Various SFX use Almagro but there are many others as well.>CC Comicrazy for the TV/other announcements.

I hate these low resolution, severely overcropped, and stretched raws so much.
TL here.>>4204Actually, one of my motivations for redoing typesetting was that the typesetter took significant unwarranted liberties with my translation and I'm not really down with that. The spelling was also all over the place. If I make a blatant mistake with my spelling, grammar, or translation, or if there's poor flow that can be fixed by rewording something, then that's cool. I would prefer not to have substantial changes without justification, however.>>4208I agree; if you have better raws available that would be great. It was especially annoying that one page of ch01 actually crops off some dialogue (what Nabe-chan says when she sees Vega and Washimine kissing for the first time.)I'll be posting the TL of ch02 in this thread sometime within the next 24 hours.

>>4203I've got no issues with re-editing, if we can get better scans. If not, then I don't see why clearing the old text and re-typesetting shouldn't do it. The re-draws and SFX are very nice overall, so I'd hate to waste them.>>4213Thanks for resuming translation of the series, I'm looking forward to working on it!

>>4214The editor on /u/ didn't seem too concerned with the quality, so I never bought the magazines.I can add them to my order going out the on 18th this month if you don't mind waiting (they might be on backorder though, it's a quarterly magazine), but if you don't see the point then neither do I.

>>4219I would prefer to work with some better quality scans, especially if the originals are cutting out content. Waiting isn't a problem either, I've got other projects I can work on in the meantime. If there's anything I can do to help defray the costs for the issues, let me know, since this is basically a selfish call for re-scans and you originally had no plans to get them.

By the way, the thread for chapter 1 is >>2261
>>4223Alright, I've added them to my order.I had planned to scan it, but decided not to after the editor on /u/ didn't see any need for new scans.

TL for ch02: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jZX3Sevit4nAEzp4Kxfj9NPFA6gPRJTCjI2OsiXT-gc/editI kind of did it in a hurry and I'll run over it tomorrow or the day after once I've had some time to mull it over, but I suppose that doesn't matter if you're waiting for the better raws anyway.>>4232Thanks for providing raws! I really like this series and I'll be glad if it gets a decent release.
